5 travel items that you can't live without
Whether you’re heading to South America for a yearlong adventure
, jetting off to the Med for a week in the sun or packing your bag for a day out by the sea, here are a few items that no one should leave home without.
Helping you navigate your way around the world and making it easy to stay in touch with friends and family, your smartphone is the number one must have travel item.
To keep your handset safe and sound while you’re backpacking through the jungle, partying on tropical islands or exploring exotic cities, invest in a tough and durable phone cover and keep your device out of harm’s way.
2. Noise cancelling headphones
Though soaking up the sights and sounds of foreign destinations is a big part of travelling, sometimes you just want to switch off and enjoy a little peace and quiet.
Noise cancelling headphones will help to cut out all external noise, allowing you to indulge in a little uninterrupted me time.
3. Power bank
Power sockets can be few and far between when you’re on the move, so make sure you take a portable power bank with you to charge up your devices on the go.
Power banks are available in lots of different sizes, so it’s easy to find a model that’s right for your needs.
Less high tech, but just as important, a good quality moisturiser will help you to stay fresh and look great while you’re out and about.
This is especially important if you’re travelling to hot, dry countries or are planning to spend a lot of your time soaking up the sun on the beach.
5. A good bag
Last but not least, all travellers need a good, strong back to pack their stuff in.
The type of bag you choose will depend on where you’re going and for how long. If you’re heading to countries where pickpocketing is an issue, choose a bag with built in defences and with safe pockets for your valuables.
Whichever bag you choose, make sure you try it out a few times before you leave as bags that are too heavy or that don’t fit properly can really take the fun out of your adventure.
