Entertain yourself with your Samsung Galaxy

If you own a Samsung Galaxy, the likelihood is that you are probably fairly addicted to it. It's a great looking phone anyway, and there are so many slimline phone cases available that you can change the way it looks as often as you like. As well as the look of it, it supports some great apps that provide hours of entertainment. Here are six of the most popular ones.

1. Candy Crush Saga

This is one of the most addictive games available. Even if you've never played it, you will definitely have heard of it because everyone's at it. It's a free game but you can pay to open up more levels. You can also buy more lives. Alternatively, you can get both of these by either waiting for a while or asking your Facebook friends to help you out. All you do is explode candy by switching it and matching it. Sounds dull? Try it, you'll be hooked.

2. Facebook

If you're on Facebook, it's great to have it on your phone. You can use it to check in to let people know where you are and always keep tabs on what your friends are up to. Many sports and social clubs keep everyone up to date with news and events via their Facebook page these days: so if you don't have it on your phone, you risk missing out.

3. Instagram

This lets you take great photos, edit them using the app and share them instantly on social media. The photos always look great with their recognisable square shape and great choices of effects. There are websites that allow you to print your instagram photos on to various things such as novelty mugs and coasters, you could even use them to design your own phone case for your Samsung Galaxy.

4. WhatsApp Messenger

This allows you to send photographs, videos and text messages free to anyone who also has the app. Because it is downloadable on both android and iphones, it is a great way to keep in touch without using up the messages available on your contract.

5. Skype

Skype is really popular for computers, tablets and mobile phones. And no wonder - it is free to use as long as you are both using a device that has skype installed. It lets you talk on the phone or make video calls and it costs nothing. If you want to make a call to a phone via skype rather than a skype device, you can still do this but there is a small charge. For calling abroad it could still work out cheaper than using your phone in the regular way.

6. SwiftKey Keyboard

This app allows you to type text into your phone without even lifting your finger off it. It's so much easier than pressing each letter individually and is more popular than the standard keyboard on the Samsung Galaxy. It is really accurate and allows you to type incredibly quickly: definitely a great time-saver.

What's your favourite way to entertain yourself with your Samsung phone?
