Growing up with siblings is both the best and the worst thing at the same time. Of course, you love them, they were our first friends and you’ll always have their backs. But sometimes, you really wish you could’ve done your own thing without your sibling causing some sort of trouble for you. Yes, we’ve all been there. So here’s some hilarious tweets from people who know all too well what it is like to grow up with siblings.
1. When you wanted to ask your parents something
When you were younger, there was always something that you wanted from your parents but were too scared to ask for in fear of your parents shouting at you. Perhaps you and your sibling wanted to stay up for an extra hour or have some money for the sweet shop. Either way, there was no chance you were going to ask. So you would eventually bribe your sibling to do the dreaded deed. But when they did, they nearly always dropped your name in it. Brilliant. This was what you had been trying to avoid.

2. When your parents chose your side
It was such a glorious feeling as a child when you argued with your sibling and your parents chose your side. It was even better when you secretly started the argument or fight with your sibling but your parents saw the innocent side of you. After all, you were the golden child who would never do anything wrong, right?

3. When no one other than you was allowed to be horrible to your sibling
When you were screaming at your sibling, pulling their hair or getting them into trouble it was absolutely fine. But if anyone else thought they could pull these stunts on your sibling, they were wrong. It's sibling rights to be able to shout at your brother or sister and it wasn't cool for anyone else to do so.

4. When you would wait for your sibling to mess up
Your parents probably thought that your sibling was a goody two-shoes, but you knew your brother or sister differently to them. You knew it was only a matter of time before they messed up and did something wrong and you would absolutely make sure you were there to witness it! After all, you could use this information in one of two ways. Firstly, as bargaining power to stop them telling on you or two, to go straight to your parents and stitch them up.

5. When you had to stop your sibling from telling on you
Unlike in the previous scenario, there were probably times when your sibling would catch you doing something you shouldn't have been. If they did, you knew you were in trouble. It was pretty much a race between you and your sibling to see who could get to your parents first to explain what was happening. You'd move so quickly, you'd probably give Usain Bolt a run for his money.

6. When you hear your mum or dad coming
There were probably times in your childhood when you were arguing with your siblings and then heard your parents coming through the door. It was probably one of the most terrifying times of your life, especially if you were the one who started the argument.

All siblings play fought from time to time but sometimes, things went a little too far and you would accidently hurt them. Somehow, offering them to hurt you seemed like a good way to stop them getting you into trouble.
