How to keep boredom at bay this Easter
Whether you’re at school, university or you’re a parent with young kids, the Easter holidays can be a tricky time to stay busy. With the weather often a little on the grey side and the holiday just too short to go off on an exotic adventure, these two weeks in early spring can be lacklustre to say the least.
To help you have fun and make the most of Easter this year, we’ve put together a great list of activities that will keep you entertained till term starts again.
Get on your bike
Cycling is an affordable and healthy way to stay active during the Easter break. Even when it’s a little cold and drizzly outside, a bike ride through the British countryside is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon.
If it’s been a while since you used pedal power to get from A to B, start with a few gentle laps around your local park. Once you’ve got the hang of it, it’s time to hit the road and see where your spirit of adventure takes you.
Make a film playlist
If the sun simply refuses to make an appearance, use the Easter break as the perfect excuse to catch up on all those classic films you’ve never got round to seeing.
If you still don’t have Netflix or a similar streaming service, now’s the time to sign up and work on your playlist, that way you’ll never be bored even when it’s raining cats and dogs outside.
Another great activity for a rainy day, baking is suitable for kids and adults of all ages. What’s more, once you’ve had the fun of creating stunning cakes, biscuits, loaves and pies, you get to enjoy eating the fruits of your labour.
Do a bit of DIY
From giving the living room a facelift to totally transforming your bedroom, the Easter holidays are the perfect time to roll up your sleeves, crack open a tin of paint and get stuck in.
Head off on a staycation
If you don’t want the hassle of jetting off on a foreign break, a relaxing staycation could be the perfect alternative. There are great deals to be found in hotels, campsites and B&Bs across the country at this time of year, giving you plenty of choice when it comes to finding the perfect destination.
Whatever you do this Easter, make sure you take lots of photos of your fun activities, beautiful bakes and terrific DIY transformations. Then you can upload your images to the Mr Nutcase site and create a fantastic personalised phone cover to remember your holiday by.
